Some looming deadlines of PetSmart Charities Inc….

A couple of the PetSmart Charities grant programs have fast-approaching deadlines:

Deadline: 30 June 2017

Intake Diversion: This grant category focuses on reducing pet homelessness by helping organizations make wellness services, behavioral training and education more accessible to pet parents.  https://www.petsmartcharities.org/pro/grants/intake-diversion

Keeping Pets and Families Together: This grant is dedicated to providing support through life’s toughest moments by creating resources for families facing homelessness, victims and survivors of domestic violence, and/or military leave that would enable them to keep their pet. https://www.petsmartcharities.org/pro/grants/keeping-pets-families-together

More millennial blaming… ugh.

I object to the assumption/implication/inference in this article that millennials’ parents are baby boomers.

Not true.

I’m the parent of a “millennial” and my generation did not cause this economic situation and are also victims of those who ‘came before’. :-/

‘Psychologically scarred’ millennials are killing dozens of industries — and it’s their parents’ fault

Millennials are People

Wow.

What’s with the increase in millennial bashing lately?

It’s couched in supposed humor, but it’s hateful just the same.

And what’s truly ironic, to me anyway, is that half of these people who criticize millennials for things like, ‘not having real jobs’ and ‘wanting to gain fame and fortune for their actions on social media outlets’, are doing just that themselves?!?!

W? T? F?

How about we ALL just stop the hate.

It’s getting just a bit soul crushing.

Find something positive to do with your lives.

Damn straight!!

While I see Scary Mommy’s posts floating around on facebook quite a bit, the writings are not normally up my ally or pertain to my life.

Not so, today.

Spot on this time with Joelle Wisler’s Scary Mommy 2 post: “I Don’t Need To Talk Like A Lady, Thank You Very F**cking Much

A 40-agers thoughts: taking stock…

I’m trying to ‘take stock’ of my life and clean out stuff that I’ve been carting around for years — I guess both emotionally and physically. I’d like to return to being more physically active and get
back
in shape.
Of course it’s very difficult to change long term habits and also incorporate into the time required for my work/career responsibilities.
We’ve been talking about finding ways to save and make money more.

I really want to DO more stuff, including traveling, but those are fairly expensive undertakings. Just maintaining a ‘life’ here is relatively exorbitant, but it’s hard to imagine, or want, to live anywhere else. The physical environment (weather) is pretty perfect. :-/
